Community Group First Aid Courses

Here at East Midlands Training Services we are passionate about first aid and believe that every community and social group should have at least one person trained in first aid.

To help bring this to fruition we have obtained one grant and are applying for others so that we can offer this course to those groups at a fixed price of £5.00 per person. Any profit we make from teaching chargeable courses goes towards the cost of training of community groups as well.

Being blind or having another disability is not a reason to ignore the chance to learn first aid. We will adjust our teaching methods to suit people that have special needs of any type, so that they can learn first aid. All we ask is a willingness to learn.

We appreciate the reduction in cost to us, if you book and pay for the community room or hall where you would like us to teach as this enables us to teach more groups from the grant(s) we have obtained.

We also respect that many of our students work full time either paid or voluntary or as house persons looking after children and therefore are unable to attend a course during the week. These special community group first aid courses can be taught at weekends.

They last approximately six hours and are certified an appointed persons course for three years.
