Life Support Training Courses

The course is customised to UK Resuscitation Council basic life support protocols and designed to give participants an awareness of first aid. This is a short 3 hour course with limited time given to practice. It is intended for those people that only require ‘an awareness’ non certified first aid course. The skills taught are the same as those in our Primary and Secondary care courses but there is no examination at the end of the course, although a certificate of attendance will be supplied to attendees.

This course is often given to young school children and the elderly who want to know what first aid is about but require no certification to enable them to practice first aid in the work place.

Skills taught in this course:
Scene Safety Assessment, Universal Precautions, Primary Assessment, Rescue Breathing, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Conscious/ Unconscious Obstructed Airway Management, Serious Bleeding Management, Shock Management, Injury Assessment, Illness Assessment, Bandaging.

Includes Reference Sections on the following topics:
Allergic Reactions, Bruises, Burns, CPR, Choking, Cuts, Diabetic Problems, Dislocations and Fractures, Heatstroke, Heart Attack, Hypothermia, injury Assessment, Cuts / Scrapes, Seizures Sprains / Strains, Strokes
