Fire Risk Assessment
The new Fire Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 came into force on 1st October 2006, the main change from the old Regulations is the need to complete and maintain an up-to-date fire risk assessment.
This places the onus on employers and business owners to look at their fire systems and emergency procedures and complete a risk assessment aimed at saving life and property. This may seem a daunting task if there is no competent person within the establishment.
The course is aimed at training people to become competent to do these risk assessments
The course looks at Hazards, the Fire Triangle and the classification of fires.
How people are assessed and the spread of a fire.
From the course the student should be able to:
Evaluate, remove or reduce and protect from the risk of fire.
Understand fire detection and warnings.
Evaluate fire evacuation procedures and understand why they have to be practiced.
Learn about signage and human behaviour.
Know which fire extinguisher is used for what type of fire.
If you have any enquiries or
questions please contact us and we will be more than happy to help.
