Training Course Terms and Conditions

• Reservations will only be confirmed upon receipt of a completed and signed Booking Form. The completed form may be posted to East Midlands Training Services LLP; alternatively it may be emailed to training@eastmidlandstrainingservices.co.uk

• FOR LARGE CORPORATE BOOKINGS the signatory or organiser accepts all the conditions on behalf of the group and has made these conditions known to all candidates.

• Telephone bookings will be deemed provisional for 5 working days and will be considered cancelled unless the completed booking form is received with 5 working days at the East Midlands Training Services Ltd Office.

• A deposit of 50% should be forwarded with the completed booking form to the East Midlands Training Services Ltd Office.

• All payment should be made within 14 days of invoice date.

• In the event of candidates/ clientele cancellation and non-transfer to another date at the time of cancellation, the following charge will apply:
  
  • More than 4 weeks prior to course  -  No charge
  • Between 2-4 weeks prior to course - 25% of total course fee
  • Less than 2 weeks prior to course  -  50% of total course fee
  • Less than 1 week prior to course    - 100% of total course fee

Written cancellation must be received at the East Midlands Training Services Office by the due date. However, substitutions are accepted.

• Cancellation received within 48 hours of the commencement of the course will not be subject to a refund. However at the discretion of East Midland Training Services Ltd, the candidates may be able to transfer to another similar course commencing on a later date but within three months.
• Times for each course will be published. These times must be adhered to. Candidates who fail to adhere to these times may result in them not being able to complete the course.

(To comply with the Health & Safety requirements for
Statutory Certificates’ attendance at all sessions is mandatory)

• East Midland Training Services will provide each candidate with a Safety Policy prior to the course commencement and it is a condition of the booking that candidates observe the provision of such Safety Policy and any other direction given by the representative of East Midland Training Services during the course.

• Candidates will be briefed of the safe practices involved on their chosen course. East Midland Training Services and the trainer(s) employed shall not be held responsible for any candidate deviating from these instructions and inflicting injury to self and others, damage to equipment, or consequential loss however arising.

• If the course or part there-of cannot be held, or is delayed, cut short or changed, East Midland Training Services will not be responsible for any loss, damage or expenses incurred to the candidates and any refund will be at the discretion of East Midland Training Services and subject to any reasonable expenses.

• East Midland Training Services will not be responsible for any damage, injury or loss of goods to personal belongings which are owned by a candidates during the course or whilst travelling to or from the course venue however arising.

• In the event of staff illness, equipment failure, or insufficient candidates, or other such similar circumstances which make it necessary for East Midland Training Services to cancel the course, reasonable or as much notice as possible will be provided and the full monies paid will be refunded. East Midland Training Services will not be responsible for any consequential loss or expense incurred by the candidates.

• Any person(s) using the company’s resources for training purposes will be responsible for the equipment from the time of use and any loss or damage to the equipment arising from negligence of the candidate(s) will be charged at replacement cost.

• Whilst on a course, if any candidate is unsure of their obligations or objectives, or are not fully satisfied with the function of the equipment being used, they MUST immediately point this out to the trainer. It is understood that unless this is carried out, the candidate is totally satisfied with all matters and the course will continue at the planned level.

• All candidates are assumed to have made their own personal assessment of their physical ability and their level of health related to the activity being carried out. East Midland Training Services will not be responsible for any incident arising from poor health conditions or injury related to or from the activity concerned. The withholding of information of a Medical Condition related to the performance during the course shall not in any way impose any responsibility on East Midland Training Services in respect to any health conditions.

• All candidates are recommended to wear suitable attire (trousers, shirt, blouse etc) during the period of the course. Candidates will be made aware that there are aspects of the course where physical activity is involved.
